For Sale is this early Elkhart ML37 #36559 that has been completely restored by Doctor Valve. This horn has a side seam 'Corporation' bell, my DrV 546 leadpipe (feels like a Bach #25 pipe but better in tune) which was rotationally clocked during assembly. It plays great and has the earlier Bach sound.

For Sale is this gold plated DrV conversion S42 #30201. This model is my choice for lead/commercial work. The conversions feature my leadpipe (matched and clocked to the particular instrument) and bracing as well as other tweaks. These horns are improved over the stock models in intonation, low register sound production, better and more even slotting in the upper register and a sound with more dimensionality compared to the stock model S42. They are a very efficient great sounding medium bore horn.
This one has a lighter bell than most S42's. The gold has a very small amount of wear on a couple of edges in touch point areas as the horn has been used a little by myself since its completion. The price reflects this, it would be higher if the gold was flawless, but it is in excellent condition right now.

For sale is this DrV conversion S42 Schilke #45061. This model is my choice for lead and commercial work. The conversions feature my leadpipe (matched and clocked to the particular instrument), a Schilke Faddis style main tuning slide with a regular waterkey, my custom 'S' bracing as well as other tweaks. These horns are improved over the stock models in intonation, low register sound production, better and more even slotting in the upper register, and a sound with more dimensionality compared to the stock model S42. This particular example has a ring on the leadpipe in place of the fingerhook. They are a very efficient, even playing, great sounding medium bore horn.

For Sale is this Elkhart ML37 #89517 that has been completely restored by Doctor Valve. This horn has a bottom seam bell and my DrV 546 leadpipe (feels like a Bach #25 pipe but better in tune) which was rotationally clocked during assembly. This instrument had a very light bell and received double silver plating. It plays great and even with the double silver is a lighter weight example of a standard Bach Stradivarius.

Lacquered F. Besson Bb Brevette trumpet S/N 92502 - currently owned by John Hagstrom of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. This trumpet is in very good unmodified condition. The instrument shows no evidence significant damage during its life. The valves have been overhauled and aligned by Doctor Valve and are excellent in fit and action. This instrument has the easy response and lyric tone that these horns are known for.
This beautifully engraved gold plated Bb trumpet
is a very nice example of a New York small bore horn,
the model long favored by Lew Soloff for his small group work.
Per references available on the web,
the serial number of this horn places its manufacture date as 1940.
This particular example is currently owned by John Hagstrom and received a
Doctor Valve valve overhaul and OPM alignment in 2005.
